When I was a kid in the 50s my parents took us to Mader’s Restaurant in Milwaukee. The children’s menu was in a Golden Book, which we found incredibly cool. Plus dessert was an astounding tower of meringue and strawberries called a Schaum Torte. It may be worth a peek inside at least.

New Glarus Brewing in Madison. Their artwork is not visually appealing but their beer is good snd you can only get it in Wisconsin.
